Genetics is an important factor in the bigger picture of fitness and nutrition.
GeneFolio Fitness & Nutrition is an analysis that looks at over 250 genetic variations related to 20 fitness traits and 30 nutrition and diet factors, such as how you respond to exercise or your tendency for certain muscle injuries, as well as how your body breaks down certain nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
This GeneFolio analysis gives you informed reasons to help you design fitness goals that are smart for you, as well as make nutritional changes to improve your well-being.
This analysis does not replace your provider’s recommendations, but may help in choosing a fitness and nutrition plan that fits you best.
GeneFolio Medication Analysis is a DNA test that looks at key genes that can affect how your body processes dozens of medications used to treat a variety of medical conditions.
The results may help you and your doctor make informed decisions about which medication may be optimal for you.
The way your body responds to medications depends on many factors, including your DNA. For example, if you have never taken a medication for anxiety or depression, you and your doctor can use the results of the GeneFolio Medication Analysis test to assist in determining which medication to start first. Or, if a medication did not work well for you in the past or you experienced side effects, your doctor may consider your DNA results along with other health factors to adjust the dose or choose a different medication that’s better suited for you.
This test does not replace your doctor’s recommendations, but may help you and your doctor in choosing a medication that fits you best. Do not discontinue or make changes in your current medications without your healthcare professional’s guidance.
Samples are processed at our CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited laboratory. The laboratory meets standards set by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and College of American Pathologists (CAP).
Genetics is one of many factors that can add valuable insight into obtaining optimal health. Consider Medication Analysis, Fitness & Nutrition, and COVID-19 testing for your personalized health needs.
